A few of my favorite bloggers have been participating in weekly wishes and I decided to join in. I'm loving being a part of the 2014 directive and feel like this will be another way of staying accountable and motivated! I'm also very fond of lists and make them to complete everything.
Without much more chatting here's how my week is shaping up.
[1] Start my Once Upon A Time sampler. I'm already almost two months behind! My stuff took a little longer than I wanted to come in, and since its all arrived I've just been putting it off. I want to sit down and at least start it this week.
[2] Continue working on my February directive. Nic has been such a help with my staying on track. We took the dogs for a run on the beach this weekend and it was so gorgeous and motivating in itself. I want to continue the run every other day, alternating with my other workout.
[3] Try a new recipe.
[4] Clean our bathroom. Sweet, simple, and doesn't need a lot of explanations.
[5] Finish doing our laundry because we suck at it.
I love the idea of trying a new recipe! One blogger suggested (when posting about money-saving tips), planning out meals for the week. I actually did this last night; I sat down and made an index card for each day of the week and wrote out what I will have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This will keep me from stopping to get food on the way home, or having to "think" too much about what I will eat, which in turn usually leads to me stopping somewhere on the way to work or on the way home, for fast food. I say all that to say this, if you plan out your meals, say for dinner, you can incorporate your new recipe in there. So you won't have to "wonder" when you'll find time to fit it in. Just do it! Also, another tip would be to do the laundry as you're cleaning your bathroom (put a load in, clean bathroom, when load finishes toss it in dryer, start on that recipe lol)... just throwing out ideas! All in all, I pray you have a productive week and achieve something you intend to achieve!!
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of doing laundry while cleaning the bathroom. I wouldn't have thought about doing that, but it makes so much sense! We actually do plan our weekly dinners out and it really does help! We didn't for a while and I found we spent so much money either going out to dinner or running to the store to buy meats that we had frozen but would take too long to thaw out. I hope your week is going well so far! I'll pray for you to achieve what you're looking to as well as just have a wonderful week!
DeleteI decided to start this this week as well. I also have the bathroom on my list :) Running on the beach with the dogs sound fantastic! Sounds like you are doing well with that, and it is always great to throw something a little bit different (like a new route) to help keep it interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt's SO nice to run with the dogs, it's also sad because our miniature dachshund has better stamina than I do haha. The bathroom is such an easy clean yet it somehow gets pushed to the back our my to do list every time I try to clean. Good luck with your weekly plans!
